The botanical source of Clove Leaf Oil is Eugenia caryophyllata Thunberg (Myrtaceae).

Method of Preparation

Prepared by fractional distillation of the oil of clove (Eugenia caryophyllata Thunberg, family myrtaceae).

Properties

Appearance : Colourless to pale yellow oily liquid, tends to darken and thicken on exposure to air
Organoleptic : Strong, clove-like odour.
